The El Moore Lodge is a non-smoking property. We reserve the right to charge a flat-rate cleaning fee of $180 if there is smoking in the room.
While we love animals, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any pets at the Lodge, with the exception of service animals. We are very lucky to have a wonderful dog daycare, Canine to Five, within a few blocks of our Lodge. They may be a great option for you if you are traveling with a pet.
All kids are of course welcome. However, they must be accompanied by an adult 18 years old and over on the property and inside the Lodge at all times. We regret that we are unable to provide rollaway beds or cribs at this time.
Here at the El Moore we follow a triple-bottom line approach, striving for environmental stewardship, community well-being, and economic resilience in each of our actions. From highly efficient energy systems to extensive material reuse to responsible water management, the El Moore is designed to minimize our impact on the planet. Our goal is to use 80% less energy and produce 80% less waste than a typical hotel. We also care about a healthy and diverse community of guests, residents, team members, and neighbors. At the Lodge, we prioritize hiring Detroiters and pay our employees a living wage.
