This week’s edition of the Detroit web magazine Model D featured an pretty in-depth interview with Tom Brennan, co-founder of the Green Garage and the El Moore, about how and why to build green in Detroit.
We like to think of the El Moore, which is an experiment in sustainable living, as a sister project to the Green Garage, an experiment in sustainable working that’s been in operation for three years.
The projects are connected in a deep way; so much of our work on the El Moore has been informed by the three year learning process of designing, deconstructing, and reconstructing the Green Garage. So we thought it would be fitting to share the Model D article here, on our El Moore blog.
