This is the time during any construction process where much is happening and very little of it is photographable. Right now we’re working on the foundational things, such as plumbing and wiring. Not exactly sexy, but very important. We do have a couple of areas to report on this week, both of which are discernible from the street. On the rooftop, the cabins are finally getting their final finish, a weatherized metal that blends wonderfully with the original red sandstone exterior.
If you look to the west side of the building, you’ll see the progress of the elevator tower. We’re up to the 3rd floor of the building now.
Here’s a view of the insulating we’re doing around the blocks of the elevator tower.
Finally, just for fun, here’s a view of Detroit from the roof on a beautiful summer day!
